Who is eligible:
Winternz is seeking motivated students with a desire to travel and learn from industry experts in the areas of software development and marketing, in Silicon Valley during the US winter/ New Zealand summer.
- Applicants must be recent graduates, or about to complete their last year of a Bachelors degree or higher.
- Applicants must be available to enter the US on, or around December 1st, to return March 1st.
- Applicants must be New Zealand citizens and passport holders.
- Applicants must be able to comply to all Interexchange Visa regulations.
Timeline
What you will need:
1. Cover letter:
- Please include your full name, contact details, university and area of study in the beginning of the letter.
- Answer why you would like to be a Wintern, and why you think you would be a great fit.
- Educational background.
- Scholarly achievements, involvement in campus activities, leadership, or special skills.
- Work experience outside of your university that is relevant to the placements.
- No longer than two pages.
- Applicants are encouraged to state their preference for host company in the cover letter, however they may be considered for other internships based on their skill set and the internships available.
2. Two letters of recommendation:
One letter must be from a university professional such as a lecturer or tutor who has graded you, the other may be a professional reference of your choice.
3. Course list:
Please include a list of the papers you studied in the semester prior to the application.
4. Identification:
Scanned copy of your student ID, passport or birth certificate.
5. Samples of work or GitHub account.
